Periodontal diseases can affect your overall health and lead to severe health conditions such as stroke, heart attack, diabetes, and other related problems. These diseases attack the tooth and lead to severe deterioration of jawbone density.
Our periodontists at Periodontal Specialists offer advanced treatments for periodontal diseases, such as gum regeneration, scaling and root planning, and pocket reduction surgery.
Dental implants offer a lasting solution to replace a missing tooth and help restore function to your oral cavity. With the help of a titanium post or screw, our periodontists will install artificial roots in your jawbone that will function as anchors for the crowns or prosthetic teeth.
Implants are the best treatment if you are looking for a long-term solution to your missing teeth.
Laser therapy dental treatments continue to gain approval among periodontists and patients alike. Laser therapy treatments have been around for a while, and at Periodontal Specialists in Owatonna, we treat our patients suffering from gum diseases with the most advanced technology for laser-assisted therapy.
With the help of a concentrated beam of light, laser therapy targets treatment areas during the treatment of gum diseases, minor oral surgeries, and the treatment of canker and oral sores.
Crown lengthening allows the reconstruction of your smile by shaping the gums to remove excess soft tissue. This is to allow more of the tooth crown to be visible when the patient is smiling.
This procedure is ideal for people who have an uneven gum line or suffer from a “gummy smile” that stands out due to the teeth being covered by excessive gum tissue.
Graft surgery allows Owatonna’s leading periodontists at Periodontal Specialists to help patients who suffer from gum recession. This procedure is performed on exposed roots or teeth that appear more prominent due to receding gums.
Gum recession is most common in older patients but can also appear among younger patients due to gum diseases such as periodontitis and gingivitis.
The ridge augmentation procedure benefits people who have lost the basic structure of their jawbone due to missing teeth.
Ridge Augmentation allows our periodontists to augment the bone quality and density through restoration, such as grafting and regenerative techniques, before the missing teeth are replaced.
